DITCH THE ROUTINE!!!!!
Wow - I did another night of Zumba tonight - YEAH!!!! I REALLY love dancing & Latin music - what a great combination of both! So much FUN!!!!! I can't wait until my body looks like the chick in the ad! I will be SMOKIN'!!!!! :)
I want to watch a movie tonight - so this will be short! Plus, I just ate dinner and I'm still hungry, so I figured I'd come up here and blog and try to give my belly a chance to tell my brain that I am really full!!
The WW meeting that I went to on Monday was all about how to 'Shake It Up!' What are you going to do to break out of your same old, every day routine and do something DIFFERENT? Both with your food AND your activity!!!!????
My "March Resolution" is to start working out again. I've done two Zumba classes in 2 days. I am LITERALLY Shaking It Up!!! I'm taking tomorrow off from the gym, but if I feel like it I'll do my swiss ball workout at home. Then I'll be in the gym on Friday lifting weights. It's been over 6 months since I've lifted, so I'm going to TRY to ease into it gently - but, for those of you that know me, you know that there's not much 'Jenntyl' in Jenn! :) Once I get my routine down I'll share what I do. It will be a variation of the Fat Burning Furnace workout. I say variation because I've got a few injuries that I'm trying to let heal, but it will be pretty close to their program. It's short and intense - just like me! And yes - I did buy this program last year, and yes - I did do it for several months, and yes - I saw some good results! And no - I'm not affiliated with them in any way - I just like the program! Since I didn't have a fitness routine before I guess I'm shaking it up by DOING it! And I've got to tell you - I FEEL GREAT!!!!
How do I 'Shake UP' my food? By trying new recipes! Sometimes they fail (like last night I had to substitute mixed berry juice for pear nectar in my Cranberry-Pear Chicken - still tasty, but not nearly as tasty as the original!!!), but most of the times I find some truly amazing (and delicious!) recipes! In fact, I bought 2 new cookbooks at the Weight Watchers meeting, so I'll be trying some new recipes soon!
So - ask yourself. How are you going to Shake It Up??? Find something you like doing that gets your heart pumping and DO IT!!!! :) (And Paula - I think it's GREAT that you're Shaking It Up by doing the elliptical instead of the treadmill while you heal! You're still getting a great workout - so don't sell yourself short!!!!)

Breakfast:
Jenn's Coffee (2 PP)
Jenn's Oatmeal (5 PP) + 1 banana
Lunch:
1/4 c. brown rice (1 PP)
1 c. Cranberry-Pear Chicken (5 PP)
Dinner:
2 c. Chili Verde (7 PP)
1 La Tortilla Factory Corn Tortilla (2 PP)
Snacks:
Jenn's Coffee (2 PP)
1 oz. Chocolate Covered Cherries (3 PP)
1 Weight Watchers English Toffee Ice Cream Bar (3 PP)
2 Clementines
I'm noticing that I really didn't eat much fruit today, so I'm going to add 2 clementines after I'm done blogging, while I'm watching my movie! This is one of the reasons that it's so important to track what you eat. Sometimes you have the best intentions of eating well, but forget to add the fruit / veggies / whole grains / etc.... So, fruit it is! Ooooo.... I just remembered that I have FRESH PINEAPPLE in my fridge - I'm going to add a few spears of that too! Yum! Oh, and I forgot that I ate a tortilla yesterday as a snack, so I had to add 2 extra points to yesterdays nutritional diary.
